I made friends with owls in Ikebukuro!
Maybe it was kind of a one-sided friendship. But at least they posed with us for the picturesIt was so interesting because I’d never really thought about going to an owl cafe even though they’re pretty popular in Tokyo. But my friend invited me to go so I got to see it myself for the first time!
The setup inside turned out to be a lot nicer than I’d expected. They’d really gone all out with the forest theme; it was us and the owls under a lot of trees. And a TV too, if you wanted to watch old Moomin episodes with your new feathered friends.
There were owls everywhere, and some of them blended into the forest so well I thought they were statues.
I loved this owl which just looked plain shocked to see me.
It cost ¥890 to get it, but there wasn’t a time limit and they gave you a drink. So I could still enjoy my chocolate banana smoothie surrounded by owls.
It’s one of those places that’d be nice to experience at least once in your life. And then go again if you have money or a great passion for owls
Such a cute update!! Wow even owls frequent cafés in Japan; sophisticated nation indeed!
You have very diversified social circles; seems like a friendly naturalistic place to get acquainted over a smoothie.
As for ‘one-sided friendships’ the feeling is mutual; disheartened, I bare the same shocked expression as your feathered Friend to learn you’ve found time to ‘twitter’ with Owls but not us Bunnies!!!
Your Socialite hiatus feels like forever!! Still in anticipation; I miss all your much loved fun Japanese tweets and blog updates.
The dance videos; OOTDs; food reviews; café and restaurant recommendations; home-made cooking; School reports; to name a few.
I hope you can manage to find spare time and energy between Studies to enjoy, as well maybe share, the aforementioned activities too.
Wishing you the best of luck this Semester; stay strong!! Always support – jiayou!!
Thanks Cheryl, it’s lovely to have news; take care.
PS: Will you be performing again at this year’s EOY event.
I love the photo’s you’ve provided. Especially with the adorable, shocked owl!! His so cute ( ^ v ^ )/ Now you really make me want to go to an owl cafe, even though I never knew there was such an amazingly beautiful thing.
Keep posting!
