It’s the new year! And how was the first week of 2014?
On New Year’s Eve I went to school in the morningIt got so cold in the studio that I bundled myself into a hoodie for the rest of the day. Better to be a dumpling than frozen. At night I went to church and we counted down to the new year
When it was over it was already late, so I stayed at a friend’s house together with a big group of people. I managed to stay awake almost the entire night, somehow
Though maybe it doesn’t really count because my mind felt like cotton wool.
But it was a great day and night even if I was exhaustedIn any case it was better than the previous year when I spent the countdown in the bathroom.
It’s the first cake of the yearA tiny one to bring me through the day. The year just started, but it’s going to get busy now. Since I’m in the middle of the semester, it’s peak season for all the projects and assignments. I need occasional sweetness to keep me going—visions of late nights are dancing in my head right now.
I’ll do my best
Here’s to a good new year to everyoneOne of my resolutions was to stay in good spirits as much as I can and be more appreciative about everything and the people around me. That’s a standard one for sure, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to be happy!
Also I want to keep up with blogging throughout the year. I’ll work towards getting better pictures and better content
“Better to be a dumpling than frozen.” Lol, I so agree with this. It’s become my mantra in the last few weeks as I’ve been wearing the same, thick lumpy jacket with a huge hood nearly every day. Mmm, your first cake of the year looks so good. I just had my first cake of the year today too ~ red velvet with cream cheese frosting. I should have stuck with a small piece like you but I went overboard and ate the biggest hunk of it! Love your resolution, I know you’ll be able to stick with it, Happy New Year!
I love hoodies though! We can still be fashionable dumplings (`・ω・´)
Red velvet cake sounds so good! I see and hear about it all the time but I have never actually had it in my life. I definitely need to eat it this year.
The end and start of the year is always that period of eating too much~
Thanks so much for the comment again (*´∀`)
Happy new year to you, too!
